Charlotte Mason Method
We can allow ourselves but three educational instruments —
the atmosphere of environment,
the discipline of habit and
the presentation of living ideas.
Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life.
Atmosphere
It considers the natural environment of the child – to let the child live freely and naturally, enjoying knowledge and having respect for his abilities as a person.
Discipline
It considers the importance of habits, structure and form, while balanced with the freedom to enjoy life; letting these disciplines serve the child to pursue discovery and self-education.
Life
It considers that life is sustained on living ideas, which come from the best that has been produced in books, the arts, music, and other more areas.
